Arsenal are intensifying their interest in Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

The Mirror says Arsenal sent a scout to watch top transfer target Ozyakup - but the midfielder did not play for Besiktas against Bayern Munich.

The Turkish star has been on the Gunners' radar for several seasons having played for the club as a schoolboy.

Indeed, Ozyaup won the FA Youth Cup in 2009 while playing alongside current Arsenal star Jack Wilshere in midfield.

The 25-year-old has been a key part of the Besiktas side this term but was not needed against Bayern.
