Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka is a prime summer target for Arsenal, according to Bild.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is eager to reshuffle his midfield at the end of the season and is believed to be pondering a £21million move for the 22-year-old German.

The central midfielder, with an attacking edge, is seen as strong competition for the likes of Aaron Ramsey and even Francis Coquelin who have failed to impress this season.

It is understood that Italian giants Juventus are also keen on Goretzka who has so far rejected the chance to extend his time in Gelsenkirchen.

The three-time Germany international has scored six goals and provided three assists in all competitions for Schalke this season.
