Arsenal are being linked with a shock move for Ajax striker Kolbeinn Sigthórsson.
The 23 year-old Iceland international has been watched by Gunners scouts Steve Rowley and Peter Clarke in the opening weeks of the Eredivisie season.
Sigthórsson struck twice in victory against Feyenoord on the weekend.
Along with Arsenal, the young centre-forward is also being linked with Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund.
