Arsenal are pondering a move for Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
The Daily Mail says he has been mentioned to various clubs in the Premier League and up in Scotland and a deal may be done before the end of the window.
Arsenal are still in the market for a goalkeeper but have priorities elsewhere at the moment with Gael Clichy's move to Manchester City pending, Cesc Fabregas set for Barcelona and Samir Nasri weighing up Manchester and Milan.
The key to consider with Gordon also is that he won't be fully fit until October. He underwent anterior cruciate ligament surgery in April and that will take time to heal.
The 28-year-old has been mentioned at Celtic and at Wigan as a potential fall-back should they fail to sign Ali Al Habsi from Bolton.
