Arsenal ponder meeting Leno buyout clause in Bayer Leverkusen deal

Arsenal are considering meeting the buyout clause of Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The Daily Star says Bayer have signed a new goalkeeper - adding fuel to the fire Arsenal could land Leno this summer.

The Germany international could be poised to replace Petr Cech as Arsenal's long-term No.1.

Leverkusen have snapped up Lukas Hradecky from Eintracht Frankfurt on a five-year deal.

Leno, meanwhile, has a £22m release clause in his Leverkusen contract which Arsenal can afford to meet.
