Arsenal players happy to see Adebayor on way to Man City

Arsenal's players will shed no tears if Emmanuel Adebayor completes a move to Manchester City. The Daily Mail says Robin van Persie, for example, is unlikely to be regretting signing a new four-year deal at The Emirates now Adebayor is set to depart. Neither is the pull of a return to Barcelona for Cesc Fabregas likely to have been strengthened by the news that the striker could be joining Carlos Tevez at Eastlands.

Rumours abound that Adebayor has become a disruptive influence in the Arsenal dressing room. His only real allies are believed to be Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue, both of whom face uncertain Arsenal futures.

And any discussion of Adebayor's Arsenal career would not be complete without making reference to his outrageous butt on team-mate Nicklas Bendtner. The Dane might be every bit as cocksure as his occasional strike partner but Adebayor's behaviour in the 5-1 Carling Cup defeat by Spurs was inexcusable.
