Arsenal players fear fans are now turning on them as their season hits crisis point.
Furious Gunners' supporters hurled abuse at the players when they walked over to show their appreciation after Monday's mauling.
They sang “you're not fit to wear the shirt" before directing anger at Alexis Sanchez, Hector Bellerin and Mesut Ozil at the final whistle.
A players' source told The Sun: “It was like a war zone at the final whistle and nobody knows where they stand any more.
"Some players went over out of respect for the travelling fans but they were furious with the performance."
There's fear the anger will carry over into their next match on Monday.
The Gunners travel to Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium for a crunch Premier League clash for both sides.
