Sky Sports News have suggested that Arsenal are not in fact set to sign David Villa from Barcelona.
Reports emerged on Monday that the Gunners were set to enter formal talks with the Catalan giants regarding a £13.8million move to the Emirates Stadium but club sources have said that is not the case.
"Arsenal have told us at #SSN tonight that they are not in talks with Barcelona to sign David Villa," read a Twitter post by Sky Sports.
