Arsenal are going to do everything possible to get Mesut Ozil off the books next season.

Per David Ornstein of the BBC, who is reputable on Arsenal news, they are desperate to get his massive wages cleared to reinvest in the squad.

Ozil will earn £350,000-a-week until 2021 per the terms of his contract.

The 30-year-old has been a peripheral figure under Unai Emery this season.

And according to Ornstein, the situation will continue until the summer, with the Gunners hoping that Ozil will ask to move on.

The Gunners added Denis Suarez to their midfield options in the winter, which should further limit Ozil's appearances.
