Arsenal performance shows Burnley have no fear - Dyche

Burnley manager Sean Dyche is thrilled with the way his side is playing at the moment.

Despite a 12th Premier League defeat of the season at Arsenal on Sunday, Dyche is fairly happy with the positivity of his players against the bigger teams.

At the Emirates Stadium, Burnley were denied a draw when they were penalised in the 97th minute of the contest, allowing Alexis Sanchez to score a winning penalty in the eighth minute of injury time.

The hard-fought yet unlucky defeat left the Turf Moor boss proud even though things did not go the way of his side in London.

"Arsenal are a fine side, but we want to be brave in our performances and we are improving," he said.

"The mentality is solid now and there's no fear – I think people saw that today.

"We are still learning, so I was very pleased in that respect."

Dyche also touched on the knee injury sustained by midfielder Dean Marney as well as the late penalty Arsenal received when Be Mee produced a high boot on Laurent Koscielny.

He added: "We've lost a player today and we're waiting to find out how serious that one is, so beyond the result it's a balanced view about respect to the players about what they've given today and disappointment because a decision has let you down in the end."
