Arsenal had the chance to sign Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar yesterday - for less than the €16 million paid for Manchester United's Danny Welbeck.Junge Welt says Arsenal were in contact with Schalke about triggering Huntelaar's buyout clause.

It's understood the Dutchman could be signed for €16 million and the move was being discussed.
