Arsenal overtake Man Utd, Chelsea on richlist

The Gunners' total turnover has increased to nearly £200million to leave them trailing only behind Real Madrid, reported Monday's Evening Standard. And it is the move to the Emirates Stadium which has proven so beneficial to Arsenal, helping the Gunners to an amazing 50 per cent increase in business.

The figures are due to be revealed next week and will show Arsenal generated £190m for the year ending May 2007. Real Madrid's turnover for the 2005-06 season was £202m with United posting £167.8m and Chelsea £152.8m.

Arsenal's move to the Emirates has been responsible for the massive increase. The 60,000 all-seater stadium allows the Gunners to earn around £3.5m a match.
