Real Madrid and Manchester City have joined the battle for US U17 midfielder Luis Gil. The talented midfielder has been a long-term target for Arsenal, where he has had one trial period this year and is wanted for a second.

Gil had kept the Gunners waiting as he focused on the U17 World Cup, but his form during the tournament has now attracted the interest of Real Madrid and Manchester City.

"Some reports said that I had signed with Arsenal, but really I was there to spend a week and half to trial. It was a good experience, but I have not made any decisions," revealed Gil.
