Arsenal have opened talks with Fenerbahce for Simon Kjaer.

ESPN says the Gunners are keen on Denmark international Kjaer but are yet to table a formal offer.

If Wenger firms up his interest then he would have to meet Fenerbahce's demands, which are in excess of £13m (€15m).

Kjaer, 27, joined Fenerbahce from French side Lille last summer.

He has three years left on his contract and made 45 appearances in all competitions last season.
