Arsenal are taking a close look at former Chelsea defender Zech Medley.

The 16-year-old recently left the Blues' youth programme despite signing a scholarship deal in July.

However, Jeorge Bird's Arsenal Youth blog reports he is now on trial with the Gunners.

Medley played 90 minutes for Arsenal's Under-18s in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Fulham.

He has represented England at Under-16 level.
