Arsenal have offered defender Sebastien Squillaci to Espanyol.

The Sun says the Gunners will take £3million or a loan deal for the Frenchman.

Squillaci, 31, has played for Arsenal just once this season - in the Carling Cup.

He was at Seville before joining Arsenal in August 2010 and made 30 first-team appearances for them last year.

Last week Arsenal turned down a loan bid from West Ham, while Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala are also interested.
