Arsenal no longer a selling club - Gazidis

Ivan Gazidis has confirmed that Arsenal no longer have the necessity to offload their bigger players.

Over the last five or so seasons, the Gunners have sold the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri, Robin van Persie, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna while bringing in big-money signings such as Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

Following they second-placed finish in the 2015/16 Premier League season, chief executive Gazidis says that the North Londoners no longer have to sell and are now in a position where they can seek out the best available players from around the world to enhance their squad.

"We are in a position that we were not in four or five years ago where we don't have to sell our best players," Gazidis told the Daily Telegraph.

"We can go and sign world-class players if and when the manager identifies them."
