Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has announced he's selling Lucas Torreira.
Without mentioning Arsenal by name, Ferrero admitted a deal to sell the Uruguay midfielder has now been settled.
"Sampdoria will not sell if there are no great offers on the table. We are not looking for buyers. We do have natural talents whose value only increases," he told Sportitalia.
"In general we do not make any changes, but Sampdoria is a stepping stone. It is a club that is run as a family and players get the chance to grow up. It is normal that they have the ambition to play for big clubs, but I do not have to make a sale. Anyway, Torreira is leaving for €30m.
"I took him from Pescara when no one believed in him. We took the risk and we won, we only paid €3m for him. The money that is now being made is used to keep the club going."
