Arsenal, Newcastle tracking Ipswich contract rebel Whight

Ipswich left back Joe Whight is attracting Premier League interest.

The Daily Mail says Newcastle United and Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Whight.

The 17-year-old, who is expected to make his debut for Paul Jewell's side at the start of next season having featured in several squads, has been watched several times by both clubs.

Whight enjoyed an impressive 2010/11 with the U18s and the reserves, leading Jewell to offer him a two-year contract in April, which TWTD.co.uk says he is still to sign.
