Arsenal must see off competition from PSV Eindhoven for New York Red Bulls defender Tim Ream.
PSV have been following the six-cap USA international for 12 months, but the Gunners are also keeping close tabs on the youngster.
New York Red Bulls have confirmed Arsenal are scouting Ream.
"They are following Tim regularly and have done for a while, and they have told me the same," Erik Soler, the Red Bulls' general manager and sporting director, said earlier this season.
