Arsenal have reportedly expressed interest in signing Napoli midfielder Eduardo Vargas. Reports in Brazil suggest the Chilean is in advanced talks over a move to Sao Paulo but the spending power of the English giants will undoubtedly make them a more attractive proposition to Napoli, who paid €13.5 million to bring him to Italy only 12 months ago.
Vargas is said to still favour a move to Sao Paulo due to doubts over his ability to adapt to English football, particularly arriving mid-season.
It is understood the player would move to Arsenal on loan with a view to a permanent deal at a later date.
