Arsenal move to within two points of Man Utd

A comfortable 3-0 win over Hull at the Emirates Stadium sees Arsenal close the gap on second placed Manchester United to two points. The Gunners took the lead deep into added time at the end of the first half when Denilson scored direct from a free kick.

Hull should have drawn level in the second half but Geovanni's penalty was easily saved by Manuel Almunia after Mikael Silvestre brought down Craig Fagan.

Almost immediately the home side doubled their lead when a fine passing move resulted in Diaby playing a low cross that Eduardo converted from close-range.

The third came late on when Andrey Arshavin's through-ball found the impressive Diaby who blasted home from six yards.

Arsenal may not have been at their best but they claimed the three points and have a game in hand on Manchester United.
