Arsenal monitoring Guardiola situation at Bayern Munich

Arsenal are monitoring Pep Guardiola'a situation at Bayern Munich. The London Evening Standard says Guardiola is expected to quit Bayern Munich at the end of next season - just when Arsene Wenger might be ready to relinquish his role as manager of Arsenal.

The former Barcelona boss is expected to head to England having previously been linked with moves to Chelsea, Manchester City and more recently admitting he could one day see himself managing Manchester United.

Yet the timing of Guardiola's departure from the German giants could potentially coincide with Wenger deliberating over his future at the Emirates. Guardiola signed a three-year contract at Bayern but close friends maintain he has no wish to extend his stay once his tenure comes to an end in 2016.
