Birmingham City offered Jack Wilshere crazy money to quit Arsenal on Thursday, it has been revealed.

The Mirror says he turned down a deadline-day move to Birmingham despite being offered a staggering £90,000 a week to join the Championship outfit.

The Arsenal midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, was free to spend another season away from the Emirates.

And Brum boss Harry Redknapp was willing the throw the kitchen sink at the 25-year-old to get him.

But Wilshere didn't want to drop down into the Championship at this stage of his career.
