Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere says England's next generation are ready to pick up the baton.

Steven Gerrard, 34, and Frank Lampard, 36, are considering whether to retire from England duty in the coming weeks and Ross Barkley has urged the next generation to take up the mantle if the pair do step aside.

"Obviously, I want them to carry on but if they don't, the younger lads have got to step up and be able to take responsibility," he said.
