Arsenal midfielder Wilshere: England World Cup failure unthinkable

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere admits it is unthinkable for England not to qualify for the World Cup.

Ahead of England's crucial World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine, Wilshere insists the nation's chances of reaching Brazil are still in their hands.

Wilshere has never played in a major tournament, having been injured for Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. He knows qualifying for the world's biggest tournament is England's only option.

"We can't, as a nation as big as us, think about anything else," he told Esquire. "We've got some tough qualifiers coming up but we know if we win them it's in our hands, we'll be in Rio, and all the players will come together on that one."
