Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere says England must learn from Chile's gamesmanship.
England lost 2-0 on Friday night.
Wilshere said: "In the first half, it could have been 3-3, but sometimes they made cheap fouls and it was good game-play.
"Every time we broke out, they brought us down, slowed the game down and we had to start again, so we have to learn from it."
Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson added: "I think that, at the moment, we're encouraging players to play a certain way and I think that, at times - I don't want to use the word 'cynical' or be too harsh - but Chile were very clever at stopping the game, stopping the quick free-kicks and taking the sting out of the game.
