Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere insists there's no rift with manager Arsene Wenger.
The 22-year-old last week revealed the pair had discussed whether he could replicate his defensive midfield position for England at club level.
Wilshere rejected the idea his suggestion had caused any friction.
"No it didn't happen like that," he said. "He actually asked me about the role and we spoke about it. He never said to me that I couldn't play that role for Arsenal and I never said to him 'I want to play that role for Arsenal'.
"The boss is one who has always believed in me and he knows my game better than anyone so I am confident with where he wants me to play. I have played in many positions - I have played down the wing for Arsenal. I am confident that the boss is going to put me in my best position that is going to suit the formation and help the team."
