Arsenal midfielder Wilshere could miss Euros after cops launch investigation

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is subject to an investigation into an alleged assault.

The Mirror reports Wilshere has been questioned under caution at a police station over a 2am brawl outside a nightclub.

The 24-year-old Arsenal midfielder has become the subject of an investigation into an alleged assault as he battles for a place in England's Euro 2016 squad.

If charges follow, he faces the prospect that bail conditions could result in him missing the tournament, which opens in France on June 10.

Scotland Yard yesterday confirmed a 24-year-old had attended a central London police station by appointment and been quizzed under caution about the incident.

The alleged assault was said to have come minutes after the star and his friends were asked to leave London's Cafe de Paris over claims staff had been verbally abused.
