Arsenal midfielder Ozil: Benfica whiz Willock very good, very hungry

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is sorry to see Chris Willock leave for Benfica.

Willock found himself at the centre of a tug of war earlier this summer after rejecting a new contract with Arsenal, eventually joining Benfica on a free transfer after interest from Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Celtic.

The 19-year-old could now take on his former team in the Emirates Cup on Saturday as Benfica meet the Gunners in a pre-season tournament.

"He trained with us now and then, and was a very good player, very hungry," Ozil told Arsenal Player. "I wish him all the best there.

"For him it's an opportunity to show his former club what he can do."
