Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is facing a nervy moment as waits to have scans on his knee and ankle.
The Arsenal midfielder was injured in a tackle by Javier Mascherano in Tuesday night's 2-0 Champions League Round of 16 first leg loss to Barcelona.
In the first half, as Oxlade-Chamberlain attempted to hit the Spaniards on the break, he took a heavy touch which put the ball out of reach as Mascherano came across to cover the England international.
It resulted in a high-speed collision between the pair with Oxlade-Chamberlain injury his knee and ankle. The 22-year-old remained on the pitch but was withdrawn early in the second half and left the Emirates Stadium on crutches.
He will undergo scans on Thursday but the club fears he may miss the remainder of the season which would also have him in doubt for this summer's Euro2016 with England.
