Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri fears he will miss France's World Cup squad this year.
The 22-year-old does fear that his lack of action in the middle could count against him with France coach Raymond Domenech.
"It's true that when I come back into the middle, that's where I feel most effective," Nasri told the News of the World.
"I will play anywhere for my club and I just hope it doesn't cost me.
"It's very tough to see you're not involved for your country but I'm convinced I will be given a chance.
"There is still time before the World Cup squad is named.
"In recent weeks I feel I have been getting back towards my best form and that is very important with the end of the campaign we have in store."
