Arsenal face starting the season without midfielder Abou Diaby.
The Sunday Mirror says Diaby is likely to miss the start of the season.
The France midfielder will undergo surgery next week to cure a persistent ankle problem that bothered him in the second half of last season.
The recovery time is expected to eat into his preseason.
