Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla says Manuel Pellegrini will be successful at Manchester City.

The Spaniard, who is coming to the end of a ­successful first season with the Gunners, played under Pellegrini at Villarreal and again at Malaga.

He said: "As a manager, he has shown he is at the top level in Madrid, Malaga and also at Villarreal.

"If he goes to Man City he will do spectacular things - and they will get better if he takes over."

The Arsenal playmaker also thinks Pellegrini is ready for the Premier League.

He said: "Manuel deserves to be linked with City. He will change their style but the players will adapt very well."
