Arsene Wenger believes England are capable of making it through to the final four of Euro2016.
Roy Hodgson's Three Lions take on Russia, Wales and Slovakia in Group B of the UEFA tournament in France and Arsenal manager Wenger believes they have the quality to progress to the semi-finals
"Roy Hodgson is slowly building a team," the Frenchman told beIN Sports.
"They will be efficient and they might create a surprise because Roy Hodgson has been through the World Cup in Brazil and he learned a lot about his players. He will know how to use them in the European Championship.
"They will go through the first round so he can adapt and see how his players perform and I hope they will be a good surprise.
"A good tournament will be reaching the semi-final. If they go further, it would be exceptional.
"I cannot imagine that England will go out in the group stage. You have six groups and the two best in each group and the four best third placed teams go through, so I think they will go to the last 16 at least.
"But a semi-final would be a great tournament for England."
