New Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants his key midfielder Aaron Ramsey to sign a new contract.
Ramsey is not sure if he wants to commit to Arsenal for the coming seasons. He only has a year left on his current deal.
But Emery wants the player to stay, as he knows how important he is to the team.
"This is one question for the player and for the club," he said during his press conference when asked why Ramsey hadn't put pen to paper.
"I am very happy with him. For me, every day, every training session, he has the ambition I want.
"He is working with a quality, the type of ability that I want. I want to work with him.
"I have said to Ivan [Gazidis], Raul [Sanllehi] and Sven [Mislintat] that I think he is an important player for me."
