Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola and Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho are both expected in the Premier League sooner rather than later.
Mourinho's frosty relations with Real Madrid's general director Jorge Valdano would count against him if his side are again forced to play second fiddle to their Catalan enemy.
Guardiola's recent indication that he believes his work is almost done at Barcelona has also left him vulnerable to any mood swing in the Nou Camp boardroom.
A close observer of Spanish football told the Sunday Express: "I can see both Mourinho and Guardiola managing in the Premier League - and very soon.
"Mourinho hasn't hidden his desire to return to the Premier League, while Guardiola has been putting feelers out over the chance of managing a top English club. He feels the time is coming for a move.
"He won't manage another Spanish club and so Italy or England are his options. I know he really fancies experiencing the Premier League."
Manchester United and Arsenal are being linked, depending on how long Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger are prepared to continue.
Other ambitious sides like Manchester City, Liverpool and even Tottenham, who could lose Harry Redknapp to England, are bound to take more than a passing interest in the pair's availability.
