Arsenal and Manchester United have been given encouragement in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan. The Premier League duo have been handed a boost in the race to sign Ilkay Gundogan after the player's father revealed there is no agreement in place between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid.
"There is no agreement between Gundogan and Real Madrid," he told Kicker.
"We only stopped contract negotiations with Dortmund because we do not want to disturb him during his injury.
"Obviously, it is possible that he will extend his contract."
