Arsenal are ready to battle Manchester United for two of Sporting Lisbon's brightest prospects.

United enjoy a close relationship with Sporting and have first refusal on their best talent, but that hasn't stopped Arsenal from expressing interest in midfielder Miguel Veloso and youth prospect Rabiu Ibrahim.

Nigerian Ibrahim, 16, is yet to make his debut at Sporting, but has won over Arsenal scouts after his performances in the U17 World Cup in South Korea this year.
