Ajax Amsterdam defender Jan Vertonghen has made it clear that he will remain with the Dutch club until the end of the season.
The 24-year old has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham as well as Newcastle United but he intends to stay at the Amsterdam ArenA at least until the summer.
"I'll just see what happens after that. Everybody knows that I'm an ambitious guy, but it's not like a summer transfer is a must.
"I want to make the next step in my career at some point, but it's very well possible that I will stay at Ajax until the end of my contract.""I will definitely stay for another six months," he told the club's official website.
