Arsenal are set to make an offer of £22million for Real Madrid star Gonzalo Higuain.
The Daily Mail suggests that the Gunners are prepared to lodge a club record bid for the 25-year old Argentina international who has privately agreed to the proposed summer move.
It is believed that Madrid and Arsenal simply have to agree a transfer fee for the man that Arsene Wenger has been keen on since he starred for River Plate back in 2004.
Higuain is free to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer and will become the subject of an official approach from Arsenal sometime this week.
