Arsenal have made a move for off contract Chelsea winger Joe Cole.

The Mirror says the in-demand England ace will not decide on his future until after the World Cup, but the Gunners are keen to take him to north London.

Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in Cole but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer.

However, rumours that Arsenal have already struck a deal for the former West Ham star were yesterday dismissed.
