Arsenal looking to avoid big teams in Europa League draw says Wenger

Arsenal are hoping they will get a favorable draw in the UEFA Europa League, with the knockout stages set to get underway.

There are some big teams left in the competition. Some were in the Europa League from the beginning, while others have joined due to finishing third in their respective UEFA Champions League groups.

The likes of Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Spartak Moscow are coming into the Europa League from the Champions League, and Wenger may want to avoid these giants in the draw.

"We have some big teams we want to avoid. We will see, we will deal with it and I will pick a team always who has a good chance to pass. Let's wait, it's tomorrow I think," he said to Arsenal.com.

The Gunners are in the Europa League for the first time this season, having failed to get into the top four of the Premier League for the first time under Wenger.

Similar to Manchester United last season, Wenger will be hoping that his Gunners can go all the way in the Europa League. The competition's winners earn automatic entry into the Champions League next season, and a top four position is far from guaranteed for the Gunners.
