Arsenal, Liverpool tracking Newcastle's frustrated Taylor

A host of Premiership giants are ready to pounce for Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor.

The centre back has seen other young players such as England Under-21 colleague James Milner and Charles N'Zogbia sign long-term deals which dwarf his salary.

Taylor, an ever-present since Kevin Keegan returned to the club last month, told the Sunday Mirror: "The longer I hear nothing from the club the more I fear they want to sell me.

"If there is no offer on the table by the summer then I will have no choice but to look at my options."

If Taylor is allowed to leave a host of top clubs will chase his signature. Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham have all been tracking his progress.
