Arsenal, Liverpool target Reid 'highly unlikely' to re-sign with West Ham - Allardyce

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce suggests defender Winston Reid will more than likely depart the club in the summer.

The New Zealand international comes out of contract at Upton Park at the end of the season and it appears as though he may depart for nothing when that moment arrives, or if a suitable bid is made in January, with Allardyce indicating that he is no closer to signing a new deal.

"There is no future for Winston Reid at West Ham at the moment because his contract ends on June 30," said Allardyce.

"I would say it's highly unlikely that Winston is going to sign for us based on what people have said to me.

"He hasn't said he is or isn't going to sign. You would err on the back that he isn't, by the feel and look of it, at this moment in time."

The 26-year old All Whites captain, who has been with the Hammers since 2010, is attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool after starring in central defence for the vastly improved east Londoners this season.
