Schalke winger Lewis Holtby is resisting new contract talks.
Holtby is being tracked by Liverpool and Everton this summer.
"My father is English, so I just have a great affinity for English football. And I've always said: If I am good enough for the Premier League, I want to play there too," declared the youngster.
The 21 year-old's current deal runs to 2014.
