Newcastle United contract talks with Rolando Aarons have broken down. The Daily Star says their offer of a six-year deal worth in the region of £6,000 a week has been dismissed by Aarons' representatives leaving his long-term future in doubt.
Newcastle the 19-year-old tied to a lengthy new deal running until his mid-20s amid interest from Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.
But the youngster's suitors have received fresh hope of prising Aarons away from St James's Park after talks ground to a halt.
A Toon source said: "The contract is what you would expect them to offer someone in the reserve team not one of their best youngsters."
