Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey is being tracked by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Sardinian sources say Cagliari will sell their goalkeeper Federico Marchetti to Fiorentina in January in the event that the Viola cash in on Arsenal's interest in Frey.
Frey was linked with the Gunners at the beginning of the summer market before manager Arsene Wenger turned his attention to Fulham veteran Mark Schwarzer.
