Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud has rebuffed suggestions that a deal has been struck with Arsenal and Marouane Chamakh's agent to sign the striker. France Football magazine claims that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has made direct contact with the 25 year old's agent and a four-year deal was said to have been agreed.
However Triaud was only able to declare that no contact had been received from Arsenal for the Morocco international.
"That is only chatter," he stated.
"I don't know where it came from, but I never heard any Arsenal representatives since (Sylvain) Wiltord, which means almost eight years."
