Arsenal legends Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira are on the shortlist of contenders at St Etienne to succeed coach Christophe Galtier.
Galtier will leave St Etienne after seven and a half years in charge.
The ASSE board are now seeking a replacement and both Henry and Vieira are under consideration.
Vieira completed his first senior season of coaching in charge of New York City FC last year - and still has two years to run on his current deal.
Henry, meanwhile, joined the Belgium setup as Roberto Martinez's assistant this season. It's suggested Henry is favoured over Vieira by many inside ASSE, though there's concern over the style of play he would seek to employ.
